Volunteers make all the difference supporting our Causes
Every volunteer makes a difference in the arc of a child’s life. And in the process of serving, their life is enriched as well. Parents and community leaders do the heavy lifting. But through the ongoing efforts of volunteers, remarkable change occurs!
A life-changing experience in India awaits you, as you help educate children in underprivileged rural villages. You will play a vital role in making a difference in the community.
Jan Parivartan Sanstha is a non-profit organization, we have very few means of financing, that is why we solicit the help of volunteers. Volunteers are especially needed in our school teaching programs. Indeed, the current teachers have between 40 and 50 students in each class, and the help of assistants is more than welcome. The main subject taught by the volunteers is English, as it is of everyday use for Indians.
Join the Jan Parivartan team at Incredible India, and work alongside local teachers in rural primary schools that are overwhelmed with children wanting to learn. This is an opportunity to give individual attention to children who really need it, gain some valuable teaching experience abroad.
We believes that until and unless members of the civil society are involved actively in the process of change and development, nothing can happen. To make this change happen, we invite you to come and be part of the Jan Parivartan volunteer program, come and join us – to work for the welfare of poor children and underprivileged children and their families.
We truly believe that volunteers are the backbone of every organization – not only do they carry the organization’s ideals within them and help the organization in implementing them on the ground, they also spread the message far and beyond, sensitizing the society towards the cause. Volunteer for NGO sector, volunteer to serve, volunteers to spread some smiles.
Volunteering with children would be an amazing experience and volunteers will have to teach, play, take care and ensure that the kids get what they deserve. Volunteers can bring smiles on the faces of these disadvantaged street children by helping to create an environment conducive to their holistic development in order to enable them to become a part of mainstream society.
The need for improvisation & creativity in teaching methods is paramount and can challenge the
most experienced volunteers, but the rewards are amazing.
Our volunteers can bring along pens, pencils, books and other teaching material which will help them while teaching.
You do not have to be a native English-speaker to come and teach Indian students. Every little English you may know will help them very much. You can also play games with them, sing, dance, draw. Any activity to instruct and/or entertain them. You just have to be open-minded and autonomous and ready to share your love for the children.
Location & Accomodation
The projects are located in Faridabad, in the state of Haryana. You will be staying at our home, with our family. Volunteers have their own kitchen and washroom. Our home is located 15 minutes away from the closest metro station (Sector-29,Faridabad) by auto-rickshaw. It is also convenient to use the public transportation as well as taxis or even trains. Faridabad is situated 25km south from the center of Delhi.
Orientation and Briefing
There will be an orientation session on the first day of the program. Volunteers/Interns will be told about India in general, and about their specific project and if there’s any question, our in-country coordinators will be glad to reply.
You can rely on all the members of the family and the local staff to help. They will take you to the projects and assist you with daily transportation. They will also be glad to help you with anything you need (travels on the weekends, money exchange, medical assistance etc).
